Hamilton Janke Lawyers are excited to announce that last week at the annual meeting, Partner Drew Hamilton, was nominated and appointed as Treasurer of Defence Lawyers New South Wales.
Defence Lawyers New South Wales is an incorporated Association of criminal defence lawyers practising in New South Wales.
The aims of the organisation are;
To improve all aspects of the operation of Criminal Justice System in New South Wales;
- To protect and improve the rights of people accused of crimes;
- To improve the conditions of criminal defence lawyers
As part of his appointment, Drew stated that he is hoping to work with the Association to improve the working conditions and support for Lawyers working in regional areas.
